The beach is calling. Wilmette is home to Gillson Park Beach, which stretches for nearly two miles along Lake Michigan. In the summer months, the beach is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking, while in the winter it's a great spot for sledding and ice skating. No matter what time of year it is, Gillson Park Beach is always worth a visit. In addition to Gillson Park Beach, Wilmette boasts dozens of parks, an award-winning public library, and a variety of specialty shops, boutiques, and restaurants like Torino and Depot Nuevo. The village also has a small-town feel with tons of charm.

Wilmette offers easy and convenient traveling /public transportation via the Edens Expressway I-94 and the Metra Union Pacific North Line with a travel time of a little over 30 minutes into Chicago. Wilmette offers an abundance of forest preserves, bike paths and other recreational resources.

Let's talk about housing. Wilmette’s homes tend to be older with a lot of charm and less square footage - the lots are also generally smaller too.
